Future Work
New work on this framework will be focused on several separate areas:
- Modellization:New configuration and administration information will be modelled, integrated and consolidated (we have already done work on grid and Wireless Mesh Networks, see our publications. The objectives are not only to have a functionally complete and navigable representation of a given network, but also to be able to develop a historic of states in order to do offline fault analysis.
- Framework modules: Adding new respositories, sources and ways of collecting information, clients and client platforms.
- Diagnostic agents:Once the required configuration is stored, it would be possible to automate problem-solving and diagnosis processes, with or without human intervention. The work in Ontology support is a step in this direction.
